Going Late To Estate and Garage Sales and LOVING IT!
After years and years getting up two to three hours early to beat many other buyers to estate sales and garage sales hoping to get the best of the best before other early buyers.
I have started just going late to the sales.
Well now I am happy to say I take my time. I have my coffee look at my Internet sales, check the newspaper and make a short list of all the sales I may want to stop at.
I have found by doing this I am more relaxed and seem to have more fun taking time to talk to the sellers and only purchase what I really want.
The very best part about taking ones time at the estate and garage sales is you fine all the wonderful collectibles and antiques that the early bird buyers have missed.
Just late week a friend and me went to this estate sale that started at 8 am, well we did not get there till well after 10 am. I bet you are thinking way so late all the good stuff is long gone, well you would be wrong.
The woman running the sale was just putting more stuff on the tables as we happened on the estate sale. We got two box lots of dolls and other collectable items.
One box of dolls had a 14-inch Vintage Skookum doll Circa 1940's- plus two kachina dolls from about 1980’s.
The first KACHINA doll is about 11 ½-inch high. The second KACHINA Doll is about
10 1/2-inch high.
We also got a very nice Skookum doll about 12 inch’s tall. Both boxes also had many other American Indian items from nice baskets to pottery all different size and ages.
Many of the others dolls in the boxes seem to be a little newer but still very nice.
